I wish to make equipment only wearable if player is say within 15 levels.

Im seeing so many lowbies even in teens wearing equipment heroes would be pleased to have. Sure weapons don't work as well but equipment does. Especially when they are using hero progged gear. How is a newbie expected to take on such players? Im seeing this more and more.

Edited to add: umi doesn't actually hate this idea in a vacuum, but we agree it is not the current goal/setup.

Imms used to and still sometimes do clean up gear that a deleting hero tries to give away.

However, Fort pit has never been enforced that way. I've literally seen KB and Welverin sit there all day waiting for a hero to delete so they could get first grab it.

I've also seen hero storm giants or elves gift their gear to a teen of the same race.

I hate it as the opposition, and I hate it as a same align hero, because it further takes it out of potential circulation. Nothing is worse than some vet being the benefactor of a hero set and now 200-300 hours later they still got it all.

I think a recently deleted storm giant Outlander gave all his gear to a few lowbies, or dropped it in a shrine or something, but it is really egregious and undeserving. Meanwhile you got sad sack Imperial running around in Clodork and Velkyn gear going against Christmas-tree-lights goodie.

What would be semi amusing is if gear +15 levels more than your rank added small and random bits of lag from you trying to heft it around. Two pieces? Negligible. 4? Ouch. 6? Combat actions getting randomly delayed. Sword falls out of your hand because the weight of its lore overwhelms you.


Separately, I'd also advocate for a tightening of limited items. Cut it all in half!
