#575, "Magic Flux, The Veil & The Fourth Age"

From an RP standpoint with the crazy fast calendar and various aging in relation to said calendar, it's difficult if not impossible to figure this out on ones own.

How long has it been, IC time, since it's become the Fourth Age?

i.e. If I create a new character today, were his parents alive when it all changed? His grandparents? Great-Great Grandparents? Etc.

It's been about 5 months since the day of the Fourth Age, quite hard to count in ic terms as every race ages differently. Some of the chars around during the Fourth Age are still alive and kicking today or have only recently passed (although I do not know the number of hours they have on their chars). So if you were to create a new char now of perhaps a longer-lived race, I think it will still make sense for his parents to be alive then.

As for information pertaining to the happenings..perhaps the Heralds have an upcoming compilation for the Lyceum, will have to ask them. But most people will be able to tell you a bit about it in an ic fashion. The main impact of the Fourth Age pertains to Magic, where mortals can influence it directly for better or for worse, and the re-emergence of the Nexuns who are also guardians of magic.
