#9786, "Deleted thread"
|
First, I'd like to say that I think the change to the tick system makes perfect sense. That said, why delete the thread and not just lock it? The thread described the IMMs stance on the issue. Why hide it? Why excercise that administrative power when it is not needed? That just pisses people off. Besides, I thought some of the tangent discussions in the thread were interesting.
Just my 2 cents.

I've been away from computers for the last couple days and missed all that blow up.
Congratulations, everyone complaining missed bitching at the person (me) who actually made the fix and instead just pissed off a bunch of nice folks who work hard to make a better game for ya'll.
Honestly, it's just ####ing dumb that everyone who plays this game should have to put time in their prompt and watch it to time ticks in order to not be disadvantaged compared to the people who are timing it. If watching your prompt for that all the time isn't the very definition of tedium, I don't know what the #### would be. If you just had a script doing it for you instead, I'm not crying any tears for you either. Every person who plays the game shouldn't have to #### around with dumb #### like that to not be left behind.
Back in the day this was a game about ####ing killing*, not who could take the most efficient naps. Get some ####ing sack and get back in there for real. The likes of Nimbus, Cador, and BoltThrower** are rolling over in their ####ing graves to hear you complaining about this #### instead of being out there making an awesome character and bashing someone into the dirt on Eastern Road with it.
I'm not interested in resurrecting this discussion, but there you have it. Have a super day!
* And roleplaying!
** As far as I know, none of these guys are dead, but they totally would if they were.

Watching your prompt and trying to predict the time change instead.
*sleep to regain mana as support class* *time changes* *wake to rp some during boring ranking* *think the time is going to change soon, and sleep before 'soon' so as not to miss it*
I'll shut up now. Don't mean to anger anyone but just an idea of what I do now instead.
