What inspires you? Movies, songs, books? Which ones are your favourites and which ones do you feel best compliment CF?

My favourites:
Belgariad.
Tolkien.
Harry Potter.
Norse myths.

Some okay stuff:
Sword of Truth series.
World of Time series.

Movies:
Otherworld, Aliens, Cast a Deadly Spell, Harry Potter. etc etc.

What inspires you?

I will echo Khaso when it comes to my kids first. After that, it is my work.

Watching how hard the imm staff works to make this game better inspires me to work harder at what I am good at. Valg, Seb, Zulgh and Drok do some awesome things that can be mind boggling to a guy like me who isn't a coder.

I am pretty much the interacting-type imm and having them do the other stuff really frees me up to continue doing that.

Books, most recently Dan brown(angels and demons and davinci code and the Art of war, by Sun Tzu.
Movies it would be forest gump. As for impact saving private ryan.
Lastly watching the miracles of nature, Im still amazed each time I see a squirrel playing about with a nut.

Books, especially fantasy ones. Sometimes RPG games. I'm more familiar with Forgotten Realms and Shannara series. WOT is also fine by me, except after reading the 9th book, I feel it's never going to end. I gave up.

Also other characters' impact on my character. Usually I'll pick up what I and understand and try to modify it to suit my likings and insiprations.

Actually, more than anything, my son and my wife inspire me, but since that's probably not the answer you're looking for, I'll move on!

While I far prefer Norse mythology over Greek, I'd have to say Greek mythology seems to fit CF better, especially relations among the Gods. (Just without all the incest).

In the world of film, I'm continually impressed by Howard Hawks, and his ability to create a masterpiece in almost every genre. And I can watch films by Kubrick and Mann over and over. They're not always enjoyable, but they are inspiring in their visual mastery.

The greatest inspiration in the game has been, and remains mortals who surprise me. Those who actually end up teaching me about my religion instead of regurgitating a helpfile. Those characters whose roleplay and actions are so superior that I get excited knowing they're on, so I can watch them and see what's next.
