#8860, "Command Idea: last."

First I'll start off by saying that I don't know how hard this would be to implement. I would think it wouldn't be too hard, but the time needed might not balance out its usefulness.

My idea is to have to implement "last." for referring to items. For example, you can already refer to things using 1.thing, 2.thing, and so on. Last.thing would then, of course, refer to the last (bottom most I guess?) of a particular item.

My motivation for asking this is recently I've encountered some problems where in the finger-twitching heat of battle I've 1) quaffed the wrong thing, and 2) wielded something useless instead of a weapon due to similar names (the common problem for me being colors certain colors in this case but I'm sure there are other possibilities). I've seen at least one other instance of this happening to a player other than myself, and, though it might not always be the solution, this command would have helped me out in my case. It can be hard to get to the right item sometimes when you have a lot of things with the same keywords. I think that this last. idea might help out a little in some cases.

The obvious solution to this, most people will probably say, is to use a different keyword. This doesn't always work (albeit in a few very specific cases); in some instances, any keyword will get you the wrong thing. IE, wield silver makes you wield a silver pen, but wield axe doesn't get you the axe you want either.

Thoughts? How hard would this be to do?

If I have, for example, a green potion in my bag, and lots of other green things in it, what I do is take the potion out, put the other green stuff in, and then put the potion bag in.

That way it is always the first green thing to be grabbed from the bag.
