#8759, "Greater invoker shields"

Two things:

How come there is no shield to protect against pummel/crushing blow?
Perhaps shield of slime could serve the purpose?

Cranial and blackjack seem to be very simular in nature.
Yet shield of waves protects from the first but not from the second.
Would be nice if it protected from both...

Thanks,

After all, they are so weak, what with inherent damage reduction, immunity to elements, and massively damaging spells, that it's only fair to make them totally unlaggable.

Seriously....

You're exagerrating his position. If crushing blow were added to some greater shield, that invoker would still not be unlaggable. They'd be unlaggable by crushing blow, but only if that particular shield were up. Having that shield up would necessarily make them laggable by means other than crushing blow.

Similarly, if cranial were moved to the same greater shield as blackjack it wouldn't add anything to the invoker's ability to avoid lag, it would just change the tactics of which greater shield he'd use in which situation.

Let's say you have greater shields A and B. Cranial is currently stopped by A and blackjack by B. Skills X and Y are also stopped by shields A and B respectively. All he's suggesting is you take cranial and make it blockable by shield B, then take skill Y and make it blockable by shield A. That make any sense?

No other class has the ability to protect themselves from things like pincer, cranial, blackjack, etc., etc., etc., like an invoker does.

No other class then rangers can camo...
No other class other then warriors can cranial...
No other class other then paladins can wrath...

What's your point? They can't block everything at once.

That which does not kill us,
makes us stronger.
