Here's an idea: How about an Under Development page?

It could list some of the things being worked on, things that will be implemented soon, and things that are still in the planning stage. Something ala WoW.

Pros:
-Keep players on the edge of their seats.
-Show players that stuff is actually being worked on (Not to imply that I think they aren't)
-Something fresh to add to the site

Cons
-Getting battered for not implementing something as scheduled.

And really, that's all I can think of at the moment. It's obvious the pros outweight the cons.

I just think it would be a really cool feature we could all appreciate. And any other 'cons' in the forseeable future, I'm sure, could be worked around.

People on staff have played around with this in the past, and more often than not it bites them in the ass later. When you have a staff of volunteers, one reality you're going to have to deal with is that people are more or less going to work on what they find interesting, when they have the time to do so.

Well, I prefer surprises through CF echos. Having an under devt page will take the fun and surprise from me.

As it is the forum is inundated with whines of people that claim that imms just didnt show them enough love.. Imagine all the new whines for people that rolled up chars specifically for some change that was supposed to be coming in the near future. Oh yah.. thats gonna be fun
