#7909, "Some thoughts about induction/empowerment 'time' problems"
|
There is now a big problem for some players to be empowered/inducted by Imms. Not due to poor RP or something like this, but cos of they do not meet each other in CF For example for player from Russia (me, exactly) its almost impossible to meet Shokai, because he plays not very much at all as I know and there is late night/early morning in Russia at hours he plays Should I wake up at 4 o clock in the morning and sit in CF several hours to catch him? This is not always possible The same problem is with other IMMs I've played as Shokai follower for about three weeks, almost each day/evening/part of night. Never saw him, cos at these hours there are early morning/late night in USA. Sent him a note. Got no answer. Deleted. Created new paladin. Spoke with IMM leader once, never met him again. Deleted. I am playing goodie assassin now, every day/evening/early night on the working days and full day/night without sleeping on the weekends. Never saw Heas/Shokai. Never saw someone who saw them recently. Seems we are playing in completely different hours, so its impossible to catch them. I am sure other players have same problems, its quite annoying that you can not be inducted not due to poor RP but cos of this quite stupid reason. So, is it possible to make some change into this procedure? Maybe other IMMs could induct into a Cabal after interview or other players from Cabal could interview as well then some IMM will induct(of course sending the missive to Cabal's leader, so he will know about it and keep close watch on this new member) Or just allow induction by note, so we speak via letters or something like this. Nowadays, the only Cabal I can join is Empire. So I will.

So be patient. It took me two months or so to get Agantas inducted to Tribunal (the leader was AWOL and this was pre-Marmaanth time), as the cabal was understaffed and I needed the recommendations. Fungor got into Herald in one week. As a fellow European player, I know how hard it is to catch the leader sometimes, but I would claim that it is possible for you to get into the other cabals as well.
Tribunal shouldn't be a problem, as Marmaanth is a definitely a presence. The aspects of Outlander didn't look bad either for a European player before Aesrira deleted, but it is true that induction/empowerment is a bottleneck that kills some of the fun due to the somewhat frustrating waiting.
However, you'll need to stick in there to get into a Cabal, and this may mean months of waiting, so be patient.
