#7840, "small suggestion re: sleep"

First of all, I want to make it clear that this post goes under the assumption that the sleep changes were put in to lessen the likelihood of massive gangs. Maybe there were other small deciding factors, but that was really the bread and butter.

With sleep being shorter in duration, it makes getting spells off on sleeping victims very difficult. I'm not suggesting that every person that gets slept should be down long enough for a necro to walk to another room, summon them, and then still have time to completely spell them up. It just seems like I already had a hard time landing that scourge even when casting it 8-10 times on a slept and cursed victim with even halfass svs. Toss in a natural resistance and you can forget it.

Binder thieves were given shorter lag on some of their skills. Could some form of consideration be given to necromancers? Some short ideas not well though out follow:
1) Decrease lag on necro spells
2) Increase effectiveness of spellcraft
3) Increase the svs loss from curse
4) Increase likelihood of landing scourge on a sleeping victim

Honestly, I think the necromancer class is doing just fine. A solo necromancer didn't lose a lot in the sleep changes, and overall relatively probably gained in strength.

I have some ideas; we'll see when I find time to work on them.

A dedicated binder, incidentally, is roughly unchanged by the
blackjack change. It's the partial-path binders that have
more trouble.
