#6984, "Orcs and ignite."

Would it be possible to give orcs ability to set places, civilized and wilderness alike, on fire? I think this could be a nice addition to the class, as it would make orcs actually harmful to the nature, as I see they should be. Any thoughts on this? The ignite property could be controlled with a timer, in the fashion it wouldn't become a problem(or perhaps use a flammable item to torch the ground). I think the property would be a fun addition and it would have some RP realism behind it as well.

I see orcs being scared, in general, of fire. In fact, they don't like light very much at all. This isn't really something I, personally, could see orcs messing around with enough to learn a skill to do it.

Is it only cities that are ignitable? Or can wilderness areas be set on fire too? Obviously an Outlander wouldn't want to set their forest on fire*, but an invoker's fire spell...?
*actually I CAN think of RP justifications for this, but in general... Splntrd

Have it not as area oriented as fireball fires spread, but as with some of the higher level orc skills, create a bonfire in the room, and have it last a few days. Could rp territory that way, increase orcs warcry/hitroll etc. abilities in combat in that room, similiar to the desecrate deal, but lower level affects.
I think something to this affect, with much thought and a bit of improving, could create a really complimentary orc ability that suites very well in rp, and leaves a larger option for more.

I don't know about Orcs, As Khasotholas said, Orcs are afraid of fire. But definately that could be an Outlander power. What I was thinking was simply an improved ignite, working just like it currently works in cities. You could use it to drive people out of the forest, plains, etcetera. Maybe make it weather based. Wind direction decides which direction it's gonna spread, rain will slow its progress, stuff like that. Splntrd

I know! =)
Seriously though, go to the orc village and look up in a few places. There are also fire pits around.
That place is a smoke house!

Actually, would make more sense to have the Orc's defile a nature room when they take the blood from a corpse, or something similar.
Perhaps give them a ritual they perform over a corpse that puts a totem in the room. The defilement could spread like fire through wilderness areas. When in those rooms, perhaps allow Orcs to hide or something?
