#6903, "the past"

How would we feel about putting a low-grade healer in Galadon Past? If he only knew the "refresh" commune, that would be enough.

Mostly I'd see it as a convenience for more experienced players
to rush into the woods and kill newer players with more movement
than they have now, since newer players won't have any money on
them and the mobs there (at low level) don't give much. At least
that's my initial reaction.

NPC healers, in general, skew the game in favor of those who have money. They do this whether they're in Galadon or Galadon Past. It's something I assumed the staff was alright with, since it grants additional value to currency. I only posted this since so large a percentage of the past is made up of high-movement-cost terrain. If I'm leading a mid-teens party from the present to the Forest, I can expect to have to sleep for ~6 hours just to get there.

Or at least know where to get them, and so have access to them, where newer players wouldn't.

So I'd think it would favor the unexperienced player more, actually.

I'm going to assume I'm not the only experienced player who refuses to use preps based on a laziness factor. I don't even consider the past a hunting ground or a ranking place anymore because the hassle to go there, learn there, and escape from there is just plain more than I'm willing to deal with. Perhaps I'm the only lazy one out there, but even if it's just me, with a galadon past healer, I'd easily rack up 10-20 more kills with every evil character I play as I pass through those ranks where FoN is a great ranking area.

I don't use refresh preps either. I would, however, patronize a healer in retro-Galadon. Also, it's not that hard to get out of the past- return potion.
