#68654, "Improvised weapon"

With the changes to transmute, is there any way to make this skill better and make the weapons actually ok to use? Unless Im understanding the idea of the skill. If the skill is just a last ditch effort to put a weapon in your hand then I understand.

The biggest benefit is that you regain parry in primary wield. It likely gets way more mileage in pvp after dirt/disarm than pvp.

And pound them to death. In my experience, perfect brawling and no weapon is always better than improvised weapon. I didn't take edges though, but I doubt anyone ever did (and definitely will never do so in future).

With it, you don't fail to improvise while blind, and you get a free strike if you improvise in combat. Nothing to write home about, but I took it because the skill looks badass.
Also brawling will still help because your off-hand will be empty.

And you'll replace your 27? ave HTH with 18? ave improvised. Considering all improvised is axe/mace, that's not much of a parry anyway.
Long story short, very niche skill I'd not care much about.

No reason to make it better, IMHO. I've used it before in desperate situations, don't get me wrong, but I'm fine with it as it is. A ranger's spear/staff is going to be a better choice.
Just to be clear, I still lost those situations where I used it.
