#6820, "Ranger Flair"


          

So we all need at least 15 pieces, right? Right now, the ranger class seems to emphasize the woodsman aspect: survivalist, stealth, wilderness knowledge, etc. What if (to add a bit more fun) they gained a bit of a mystical aspect as well? What if they could choose a racial enemy, ala D&D? A patron animal spirit? Earth/elemental affinities/powers? Different patron animal spirits with different bonuses/abilities/resists? Different wilderness skills/affects (not that there's really anything besides forest *shrug*) Tame animals for pets? Summon pets from the forest? I wouldn't want to blur the lines between rangers and druids too much, but rangers always seemed a bit mystical/spiritual to me. Players seem to think them a bit underpowered at higher levels. Perhaps have some of these as special paths available at higher levels?

that you want ranger paths like there are thief paths, warrior specializations, and various focuses of transmutations?

Thats neat, but a lot of work.
