I don't think they should exist. From an ic viewpoint, all that shows, is that the character in question isn't dedicated to the Empire and should be Anathema'd. It's like taking the advantages, but not the disadvantages.

Advantages such as being ordered around, hunted as an Imperial without any cabal powers. Yeah, I agree..I dont understand why not more people are abusing this.

As an oath, you can perfectly get away with donating nothing at all. Okay, you'll never get promoted, but that's not what you want anyway.

I think there are too many who take to Oath, just to get rid of the Centurions and to abuse the cabal channel info.

The Empire is about ambition, nothing else. So, by not donating a single copper, you don't show any ambition at all, nor any dedication. And in my opinion, that means you did not mean it when you took the Oath and that is plenty of ground to get anathema'd.

Bloodoaths who don't donate don't remain bloodoaths long. You're also failing to take into account several things. There's no level restriction on taking the oath, so that hero bloodoath might have taken the oath two levels ago. Just because someone is a bloodoath now doesn't mean they always were, up isn't the only direction in the empire. Just because you donate doesn't mean you get promoted.

So? This is a perfectly legitimate "evil" thing to do, and they'll get caught sooner or later. Especially if they don't donate.

>The Empire is about ambition, nothing else.

And evils are about personal gain, i.e., ambition. Maybe they're not doing anything to further the Empire. If that's the case then they'll catch the boot. I see no problems with how this works, and I don't see your point.
