Here, maybe try this.
Think of a class/race/cabal(or non-cabal) character that you would want to loggin and play without getting a single edge. That's what I did, and the thing is that now when I do get to pick an edge it's just a bonus. I didn't roll the the character with edges in mind for the build. And thing too is that you still do get edges just not as many.
I don't know, I really think you might have a better time.
