#63364, "How are Role Chapters viewed by Imms?"
|
I am wondering how Role chapters are viewed and judged by Imm Staff? is it
A: Each new role entry made my the characters are sent to the Imms like a note. Therefore when the Imms log on they get to see all the role entries that are yet to be viewed by any Immortals and can have a quick read, judge the role entry and hand out some role experience accordingly. This way the role entries can be judged is the player is on or off line.
B: The character adds a role entry. That role entry is attached to their character and is only looked at if an Immortal is online the same time that the character is logged in. This would entail the Imm deciding to single out the character and check to see if they even have a role entry to look out.
Considering there is Edge points handed out for role entries, and you have a chance at a last name, that I would assume would only be given out to people that have a decent role.
I am only asking this as my current character I am playing is two months old, nearing 100 hours play time and in a cabal. I check score exp each time I log in to see if my two role entries that I entered before I hit level 10 have been looked at, but to no avail. I guess they could have been read and no experience given, but I doubt that the Imms would give nothing at all.

When a player adds new role chapters their character is flagged as having unrated role chapters. Periodically, the MUD informs us of who those characters are via automated echoes. We also have "who hasrole".

Having a role isn't a requirement for having a last name approved, or even a criteria that many (if any) immortals use.

If we specifically think your role is worth nothing we rate it as such and you get an echo. Otherwise, we just haven't gotten to it yet.
