#6291, "Mobs wandering off"
|
I think the change to request is a huge upgrade, and apropos of that I wanted to ask whether you might consider something similar for mob placement. It's not uncommon for tracking mobs to hunt people across the world. But eventually that person quits and the mob is left to stand around doing nothing. Sometimes it's no big deal but othertimes it can be a pain in the butt. The kobold chief seems to have permanently wandered off a couple times recently for example. Probably some newbie fled and ran a ways and then recalled. It seems like after a while of standing on east dairien road, that elite dwarven guard would go back home. Maybe mobs that are hunting could periodically go home (reset).

This already happens for some mobs. For the other ones, you might have to find someone with summon to try to get them back for you.

When the mob is a very high level aggro one, such as a dire wolf from the pine forest, and it ends up on a well travelled route slaughtering lowbies. I think aggro mobs should head home once the person they track leaves the game.
