These are all very good suggestions, and I agree they could be freshened up. It's very important though that the areas basically stay the same, for those who still play the game for that old nostalgia factor. Balator specifically needs to keep the same mob names for that aspect. I agree though that the area and mobs could very much use some new descriptions. Xvart lair is cool as hell, always has been. Torak is a moron for what he said concerning that. Nice suggestion Tsunami.

I'd sure like to see an Imm take on the Outlying Villages (The Dale area) and finish the questy stuff that was apparently began but never finished there. It's been so long that I can't remember all the details, but basically there are a bunch of hidden descriptions that lead a person like a bread crumb trail. However, there is no conclusion and nothing actually "mechanical" in place. As of now it's all flavor.
Anyhoo, it's good to see you guys still truckin'.

Nah, kidding.
Edit: Forgot to add, I would also say Balator, along with the high tower. So much can be added and make it an amazing area.

I always wanted to actually be a student there and have to do quests to get to the next floor. Like an epic mage questline... I still sometimes wonders if something like that is there and no one knows it.

I personally wouldn't want to lose that. It would make sense to update it to include other stuff that has gone away (scions, sylvan, etc.) and perhaps update the descriptions, but honestly it is a cool area flavor wise.

I can be quite serious. I go there with every character. You make it quite clear that you lack much knowledge about the secrets of CF, but I'm sure your AIM pals can fill you in.
The place lacks much in the way of descriptions and flare, but it has some very neat aspects as well. Besides the couple great secrets.

Ruins of the deep. Area with sahuagin king. Region immediately south of seantryn. Also build some kind of link from the mainland so that seantryn isn't quite as inaccessible and dull for tribs.

They are probably the most frequented areas to impress newer players and yet places all of us still use... or just places I still use almost every session that are dated.
1) Ysigrath (almost every character) 2) The Vale (almost every character) 3) Balator (Probably the only really old area left that connects to a cabal)
