Since I seem to enjoy posting dumb #### that I occasionally end up regretting, would you please extend the amount of time you can edit a post? I recently took an undeserved jab at Destuvious because of some IC bitterness I had - I had wanted to edit it out but it was past the allowed time period..bleh

It's unlikely we'll ever see new features added to these forums since they're based on some huge piece of #### 15 year old abandonware.
Newer, better forums is a project that's been on our list for a while, but with the handful of unusual feature requirements and all the Battlefield stuff, it just hasn't gotten tackled yet.
Some day.

from the 'Help' section up top...
Unofficial Resources
Dioxide's Carrion Fields Webpage - Popular unofficial resource site with an active forum presence. DikuClan CF Wiki - Alternative Wiki with some good content. Scarabaeus Sacer's Guide to the Carrion Fields - Contains information about various aspects of Scarabaeus' religion, the Scarab cabal, and the Inferno, among other things.

I have no problem with Dio's other than the staggering amount of misinformation.

Have you ever considered applying to be a VIP? or maybe having some Immortal tagged chars to correct such misinformation?
I don't think it would be poorly received.

No offense to umiron but dio VIPs have already been hounded out because of perceived (not actual) links with imms. Dio users (or some of them) are very quick to see the forum as being "subverted".
That said I would welcome imms to use the boards. Nothing to stop you putting imm in your handle either. No doubt funny guys would do something original like pretend to be an imm and post inflammatory stuff tho.

I could see talking Gabe into creating an (IMM) tag to be applied to official Immortal accounts on Dio's.
They wouldn't have an administrative rights, but would have that official tag to chime in to certain things when they wanted to.
It could also start a lot of drama for no reason too, so yeah.

I would rather see the staff separated from Dio's and it remain a completely unofficial website so that nobody has any reason (reasonably or otherwise) to hold us responsible for the misinformation and other things we don't approve of. It's simpler that way. Plus, I think we have a lot of players who prefer having a forum we have no influence over, often if only because they need the drama.
Dio's doesn't bother me, but I both don't want to deal with it and do want people to understand that bias/politics aside, there tends to be a lot of gameplay misinformation posted on those forums, which is a problem when new(er) players don't know better than to believe whatever they're told.
That said, I make no promise that I'm (or anyone else) is going to respond to every single gameplay / mechanics question or that I'm correct 100% of the time, but I think the official forums are absolutely a more accurate source of information than any unofficial source, though I'll be the first to admit that despite being dated and often inaccurate, Dio's Wiki is a fantastic source of supplementary information.

It's how I found out what crunching kotegaeshi and screaming kansetsuwaza do. The helpfiles could be more helpful on such things.
