Can you perhaps consider changing the requirements for this edge please? From requiring Whirling Simoon to Dirt Kicking or Whirling Simoon? Pretty please with sugar on top?
I can agree it's very niche, but so are bedouin ragers, arguably the weakest combo out there.
P.S. Can you perhaps consider upping the hits on dervish dance by one also? Maybe will make bedouin worth playing.

You give up a ton for dervish dance....
-You give up snare, arguably one of the strongest ranger abilities -You give up bearcharge, probably #2 -You give up entangle, the lowbie killer -You have desert terrain - which probably has the least amount of rooms in the entire game, let alone the most unfrequented for pks. At hero level, the amount of rooms I can consider that are nice desert spots are less than 5. With the loss of Scion, there's not really any cabal rooms that even use desert terrain (ok, the one square inside Nexus and the destroyed terrain outside Outlander don't really count). If you're in a cabal, chances are you'll never really see desert terrain used ever. If you're not cabal'd and hiding out in a desert, chances are you'll never see anyone - ever. Even if by chance, someone wanders into your desert spot - you have nothing to keep them there. -You only really get endure heat (easily replaced via prep), the ability to vanish in a desert (whoopity do, carry teleports or you know... camo), a spell you only use in a desert (which it kinda sucks), and your dirt kicking skill and defense is better (again, nothing really at all). -You also give up the other terrains (which almost every single one has more than a few very nice abilities).
There was recently a 100+ damage fire giant bedouin who used this ability... and he got promptly kicked around by everyone in the Fortress. He even lost to a gnome ranger which is insult onto the fire, when he was ambushing me for UNSPEAKs through aura/shield/prot
The man is right, bedouin is garbage. I've done four of them - trying everything from fire giant massive damage to archers using their tanking ability to stand infront for long. I'd rather try the lottery at another alignment change gnome than go bedouin

Several years ago, pk numbers were a lot higher because of the population. Also, there was a cabal basically surrounded by a desert. Lastly, two of them aren't even hero level Getting kills in the 30s-40s as a ranger is easy as it just requires ambush.
Iklahn is probably the most successful one, but it was from a very different time - savage was a whole lot better as perma-stun was fairly easy. You'll also notice he has several path perks (harpoon, spirit allies, etc) and 20+ edges. World was different back then.

As Island and Ashes are all desert, bedouin rager is awesome for nexus camping.

You don't have to go through ashes to get to nexus either.

The eastern enterance is about 30 some rooms away with a gate... plent of time to run out the north and cut them off. It makes for fun tactics and planning.
The caliber/experience of many players is that they aren't going to be an easy kill and so lag is a necessity... or a way to stop them from running far.
