#59637, "Enormous Giant"
|
Do the imms have any issues with the polearm spec enermous giant being the orcs minion?
I know it can run away easier, but one fallback and a lot of characters (especially battleragers) are dead. Seems overpowered at times?
I am reasonable, so just want to hear the other side.

I just got done playing Kobuk. Orc for me was very feast or famine. There were days where I would literally go 0-7 with the giant. And then there were days where I'd go 7-0. I'd wager 70-80% of my enormous giants simply ran away when I was forced to flee say vs an STSF sword spec (very hard fight for an Orc).

Good feedback. The old adage is true that you cannot really know until you tried it and I have not.
Thanks

things like...drag..summon..etc that "Take you away" from your servitor often make it run too...one particular pally kept summoning me away from giants and I'd think to myself "Damn it...I just walked to the Past and back...now I have to do it ALL over again" haha. Seriously, it made me really grumpy a few times.

1.) to get the edge to let you enslave evil giants and trolls you need to sink all your skill learn gains into enslave, and likely do a quest that pays out skill gains. The skill basically cannot be learned through natural use to get to a high enough percentage to take the edge (hundreds of hours have produced a total of 6% gain across 2 orcs for me even with intentionally spamming it for several hours)
2.) When you have a slave you can't flee or it goes poof, if you get summoned it goes poof, pretty much any magical transportation and it goes poof, also if you sleep it goes poof. That is a big restriction on mobility and not being able to sleep can really mess with regen of mvs and mana
3.) You have to actually run to the physical place where the mob you want to enslave is. The battlefield isn't too far from the kill box but an enterprising ranger could make your life miserable if you try and regather the slave regularly. While in practice folks ambushing orcs gathering blood and slaves doesn't happen often, it sure could and it sure could be affective.

Revolves around bash. I'm very anti-bash. It has no flair, and no one should be subjected to lagged to death in a 1v1. Go kill giants, take the polearms and give them to one of the 4 big giys in the battlefield... or anything actually. The orcs can't locate objects. Orc minions turn a dead orc into a deadly orc... fall back bash till dead ..
