#5909, "New invoker touch-spell practice"
|
First of all, what Im about to tell you is first hand info I didnt get these from logs or talks.
Let me start by saying that I am having a lot of trouble with the touch spells, it seems you inteded for them to go up while you are ranking in the group and that is a fine idea but most often than not the spell gets parried or misses because the mobs are much higher level. And in the last stages of the spell 95-100% it is near impossible for it to improve while ranking the only alternative is forcing the invoker into solo ranking with "easy kill" mobs and having to rest every few moments making it more tedious than spamming it somewhere quiet.
From what I have seen the improvements only check when the attack lands maibe you could make it check when parried?.

The touches can improve on misses as well, it's happened with my invoker.
The touches are like skill training now, so I'm thinking lower mobs will make for slower learning.
I'm a ways along now though, and I still only have two touches done, so I feel for you.

As it stands now you have to spend about 30 hours to get the 4 touches mastered. What kind of hooey is that? I've been testing one invoker, about 7 hours in, and, total, I haven't got more than 10 improves from ALL the touches I've practiced.
If making the game less fun is the goal, Immortals, you've succeeded.
