I like that Goods have more challenges, but sometimes with basic equipment it's easy to miss that 'chilling aura of evil', and really, if that piece of eq is just plain old evil, and not anti-good, no harm in an in-game mechanism to remove the taint.
I mean, it's bad enough that goods are often in position of killing neutrals to get items (Tarus!) or buy things from evil (eyeball scrolls) or train from duergars (locksmith skill).
