We'll be having the CF Christmas and Holiday parties on the 26th and 30th respectively.

Things on schedule:

Empowerment availability - imms will reply to this thread with when they'll be around to empower people. (For me, morning and evening of the 26th and I'll be around all day on the 30th. Daev, similar schedule)

Daev and I will be running a competing Scavenger Hunt on the 26th at 8 pm central. That is to say, we'll both send you out with competing and different lists. You pick which one to do! All levels welcome, though obviously it's harder for super new chars to run all over the place.

Prizes tbd. One of us will give out quest skills/spells/etc, the other will give out xp/titles/custom longs/fun&froofy stuff. We aren't going to tell you which will be which.

Are these metaphors for items, or do we actually need to find "The essence of a child"?
I assume that in the case of things that say "Something ..." We just need to find something along those parameters. Correct?

Does it have to be a prog, or can it be like a scroll/talisman?

As noted above, pick one of the scavenger hunts to do -- if you turn in items to Daevryn you can't turn items in to Rayihn, and vice versa.

We will be accepting items from 8-10PM tonight. You can start gathering items now if you want, but this is the window you can turn items in during.

The more items you turn in, the better your prize -- you will get something if you turn in only one or two items but it might be pretty minor. Items on the lists vary in difficulty and at our discretion more difficult items may be valued more.

Daevryn's scavenger hunt was much more popular of the two. I started collecting people's items a little early around 7:45 and was booked solid doing it for the next 2 1/2 hours.

Unfortunately for those people (maybe) I was giving out titles, custom long descriptions, and similar foofy prizes.

That it was the most popular because people mistakenly thought it the more likely to give powers.

I myself was 95% sure Rayihn would be the cool stuff because her list was much more difficult. Daevs was mostly relatively easy enough that even lowbies could manage it. The hope for some immexp was all I, and likely many others, cared about at this point since to get edges you pretty much have to. I miss old edge method since I never have been fond of Immortal interactions.

I did not do this for some crazy reward. The hunt was a lot of fun. The rewards I got were the cherry on top.

I think there was a lot of fun for everyone involved (maybe not for you two to stand there and dole out appropriate rewards) and I think all the participants really appreciated your efforts in putting this together. Perhaps consider not making it very obvious next time? Rayihn's list was much harder, thus she was far more likely to give mechanical rewards. (I went for Daevryn's list since I only had very limited time personally, but the point is still valid I think.) In any case, thank you!

I actually tried to make the lists pretty even. The problem is I spent my time on making the obnoxious items on each list pretty even when I should have spent my time making the easiest/medium items on each list more even, realizing not everyone would go for getting everything.

I actually know how to get those things.

I knew where to get more items from Rayihn's list, but only at hero or by camping the docks. Items I could obtain with my character, Daevryn's list won out. I did in fact reason that since they weren't telling us which was which, and everyone would be expecting fluff from Rayihn, we were going to get fluff from Daev. But I also suspected a double bluff.

Rayihn is "more" known to hand out that sort of rewards than Daev is. At least from my experience.

I hadn't decided on which list to get myself, but ended up teaming with someone doing Rayihns list, so decided to go for Daevs instead, since none of my chars basically never have had anything to do with him, I thought it would be nice.

Anyway! A lot of great fun!

Always shoot first and then call whatever you hit the target.

I should be around both days but might be a little later in the evening on the 30th.

Similar to Mendos, I will be around for role ratings, interaction if you want to talk, and description stuff.

I will (try) to be around on the early evening of the 26th, barring no family commitments. If I get tied up in family stuff I'll be around a little later.

On the 30th I will try to cover the Australia early afternoon/Europe morning through until the US evening for role entries. This is contingent on family again, however, it is much more likely that I'll be free for an earlier morning log in than on the 26th.

If your character has slipped through the cracks on role rating, or you have spotty availability and cannot seem to get the role rated, I'll cover this.

As always, should you have Outlander questions, or issues, description issues, or just want a bit of interaction via tell, I am around for the players in that capacity too.

Will there be easy empowerment for those too?

While singing slaying songs I managed to contract the Astral flu (a bane even of the undead), so I will likely be stocking up on Keiiah's cold remedies and studying the insides of my eyelids with great care. If I can reach an upright position, I can try to be around as well.

I should be around both of those days most of the allotted time and will be visible and available for empowerment.

I plan to be around most of the morning and afternoon on the 26th. Probably until around 6ish or so, game time.

As for the 30th, I'm not sure yet...at least the morning hours, but I'll update as it gets closer.

I'll be around off and on throughout the day on the 26th, as having family over allows.

On the 30th I should be available starting right around 5pm system time for a while.

Due to family events, I wont be able to post exact times but I will be around randomly through the day and I'll make it obvious by being vis for at least a part of the time I am around. I will respond to this post closer to the 30th with availability.

Family takes priority over cf so I'll miss the fun.

Its always pretty cool that people schedule time to be available during the holidays just for the mud, especially when they have family things.
