I'm quite satisfied with TinTin++. The major caveat for many Mac folks is that it requires only in the terminal (command line).
Website: http://tintin.sourceforge.net/
There is a (somewhat dated) list of MUD clients and supported operating systems on this Wiki page: http://www.carrionfields.net/CFwiki/Clients
A more extensive list can be found on Wikipedia, it seems: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_MUD_clients
I did try Atlantis once many years ago and found it to be decent enough too. It does not appear to have been updated in many years, however.
I have not tried Mudlet but I do see it has seen an update somewhat recently.
Good luck.

I have some basic scripts if needed and there are some youtube videos with howto demonstrations.
