#55892, "Tribunal Idea"
|
What are opinions on making it so that Magistrates can toggle whether they want COPPER or EXPERIENCE as their reward for duty?
I think this a good suggestion because it will promote the cabal ideals more and give incentive to stay on duty, especially when there are no groupmates around.
The experience would be the same value as the copper, obviously adjusted if you were Provincial and up...
Thanks,

I was just thinking this yesterday.
Its always a conflict, because you want to be on duty guarding your city, but you also need to get some levels to be part of the fun.
As it is right now if you spend too much time leveling, exploring, etc. and not guarding your city you will look really bad and probably get the boot.

Exp for time on duty is not at all unreasonable given that you can get exp for carrying stuff from a to b, or in a number of other non combat ways.

Skills don't improve while being on duty nor do you earn exp towards edges, so it still behooves them to go out and learn/pk. This idea just takes the edge off of duty.

However of all the cabals it seems like the least likely one to get kicked out of for non participation. Unless the spire is being raided or you've got multiple PK's committing crimes in front other Magistrates your time is pretty much your own from my experience.

Judging by Ruakao's past characters it's pretty much impossible to be kicked out.
