Seriously, what the hell is up with that maze? I went through it dropping items once when going south, 2 when leaveing west and so on until all four done and all I had was a load of rooms with stuff in them!!! FFS!

Just wasted 2 hours of my life trying to get, I presume, a black rod....this is bags of fun!

I suggest asking around in the game. There are several people that know this maze and you could barter or garner their favor with a little effort.

For what it's worth, I spent thirty to fifty hours, maybe more, in that place, cleared it many times and finally found the wand there. It was the one I had when I first rolled my character that I had never found, turns out.
