#55161, "Cleave mechanics"
|
I have worked out that vs mobs, owl has a 100% success rate where mobs consider as "little finger".
There's clearly a significant level factor in this.
When I look at the other instakill ability and how it works on mobs, cleave (ap skill) is the obvious counterpart, although I recognise that cleave is in some ways more like charge. Cleave doesn't have a high crit success rate on lowbie mobs, but does mob level still affect it (specifically mob level relative to PC level)? Or is the price of trying to cleave strong mobs just the beat down received when it fails?

With the disclaimer that I have no knowledge of the code at all, only a lot of in game experience..
The instakill chance on cleave is a flat % chance, regardless of level.

I don't think I've ever successfully cleaved an uber mob. Are some mobs "no cleave"?
