Unsure if bug or intentional. I can't find anywhere while in form (shapeshifter) to see weight. I shapeshifted and am burdened. Score weight doesn't work and not seeing weight in score.

Any news on whether the weight change affecting shifters with low-str forms is by 'design' or if it is an unintentional side-effect?

I'm sure that is quite by design. Just wondered if "score weight' could be added while in form so you know how much you can carry... Actually, now I think about it, help strength probably tells me this precisely...

You may be right though. Wouldn't be cool if you get like a strength 10 form and can't even carry your equipment with an empty inventory!

I barely know anything about shifters, so I'll leave that to everyone else to discuss.

Is that your out of form str can exceed your in form str. So if you are carrying close to your "max weight" out of form, you can shift and immediately be hit by mv loss upon movement, when you haven't been maledicted at all.

I think they might be able to put a check in for like -str conditions or something to "fix" this issue. Because, its kind of annoying to be A-OK weight wise, shift, and without having been maledicted, start losing massive MV to normal movement.

I get that maybe a hummingbird, lemur or mongoose shouldn't be able to carry 300 lbs without it hindering their ability to move some. From that POV it makes sense, bu from gameplay I can see that hurting a shifter.

Of course now maybe shifters have to be a bit more concerned with their armor choice and inventory. Annoying for people that probably never had as much reason to care before.

I don't know the str of the forms, but maybe that was an intended part of the design. With the change though, maybe looking at the min strength of all forms would fix it in most cases so that they could all carry at least 300 lbs or so?

Do any of the forms having something ridiculous like a 12 where the max carry weight is almost always going to be exceeded?

Lowest I have seen is 16. Which is 4 pts lower than human max, and 2 pts lower than gnome.

I am sure there are lower str forms than that, but that is my observation.

I've got four forms so far and no issue, but I'm not carrying much of anything anyway. Not sure how it will affect once I start carrying preps and stuff. I never thought carry weight mattered to shifters at all (before the obvious change) since their inventory goes poof when they shift. Another unfair point to penalized for 5000 lbs worth of carry when you can't utilize it!

Dear Daev,

Please stop targeting my characters specifically with nerfs. Kthnx, bye.

It hurts you based on max strength, so if say you're a gnome shifter and you take the shape of a mongoose, that is 18 str to 15 str so what you'd normally carry and be fine with, now hurts you in form, but, say you're the same gnome and change into a komodo dragon, then you'll be able to carry more because you went from 18 str to 23 str. To find out your carry weight you'd have to change your natural strength down or upward at a given level to see what it would be, as of right now, or ask someone with the ability to change their strength to that level.

I think they'll sort the kinks out of this eventually but in the mean time, I feel sorry for dodge shifters vs damage redux ones.
