Is this helpfile now out of date? Particularly the part about observation XP. Does observation XP even grant edgepoints anymore?

Case in point being it took me over 11k Obs and over 2k Explore (not including by 1.8k Commerce) before Warded/Warrior Familiar became available.


Characters receive edgepoints based on the amount of Commerce,
Exploration, Observation, and Immortal XP they gain.
- For every 500 Exploration XP (max 26,000).
- For reaching 5,000 Exploration XP before level 30.
- For every 1,500 Observation XP (max 31,000).
- For reaching 10,000 Observation XP before level 30.

I usually get exploration exp at about 1.5x the rate of observation exp.

I guess I suck at observing?

But based on my own experience and also on the fact that it takes 3x as many observation points to accumulate the same about of edgepoints as exploration xp; it would appear that observation xp is far more prevalent. But truth be told, I'm probably just a perve. I sit in that ship on the Hamsah seaport for hours watching the naked woman.

Sounds about right, depending on if you hit the bonus or not.

Maybe you've over estimated how many edge points you get for this stuff.

If you max observation, that's worth about two average cost edges, two and a half if you get the observation bonus before 30.

Assuming, of course, you hit the skill and level requirements for the edge.

I *definitely* over estimated it then. I'm gonna have to get my game on and try PKing!

Hasn't changed yet, and honestly might not much since in the grand scheme of things it's pretty hard to grind out relative to the benefit.
