#53414, "Exotic skills"
|
Does anybody know a list anywhere that contains some detailed descriptions of what exotic weapon skills do? Lag durations, bleeding, disarm that short of thing? I'm trying to determine if there is anything better for me to try and get my hands on over a ripping claw. Batter weapons are hard to find now that CM King Scepters are gone yes?

I've updated the relevant help file.
I agreed with making these, well, exotic skills to be discovered by experimentation, but at this point they're almost 10 years old and I don't see a good reason to not be a little more clear about their functioning.

Per the helpfile: "best learned by experimentation and diligent practice"
Having said that, I personally wouldn't use any of the moves on a non-HPM warrior. Conjurer, perhaps, or murder healer. Rip does two things, not very effectively, and has a three round lag (to the wielder) on it, so unless you really want those effects in your repetoire, you can do better. Some of the moves are horrible from what I've seen - I'd rather use kick than batter (and yes it is out there to be found). If I were going to be wielding an exotic though, I would get one with a different move to either of those.
Cryptic perhaps but like I say, it's the sort of thing you discover in game.
