#53289, "Mental jolt giving desensitize to victim?"
|
I've been reading logs and noticed a "victim is already desensitized to pain" echo for when a transmuter hits with a mental jolt (I think).
Does it mean less damage verbs seen by the victim and slightly less actual damage, like the desensitize spell?
Speaking of pain and such... there are a couple things (martial trance and painless flaw come to mind) that supposedly make you immune to pain, but afaik they don't really protect against pain-based skills/spells/supps. By design?

It can apply the negative aspects of mental jolt to a victim. They don't get the DR.

Hmmm. I'll think about that and possibly make a change. Painless especially is enough of a drawback that getting at least something like a desensitize-level protection against pain stuff would probably be fair.
Edit: It turns out this already existed for both of these, but pain abilities weren't consistent about which ones they cared about. I've changed this and it will be consistent going forward.
