After loosing so many awsome sets to the hamsah guards I think something needs to be done about them. The fact that htey take your gear and drop it in a room which is unobtainable is complete bs, it just seems like something to piss off the player base. There needs to be away to get to wherever the guards drop the equipment in my opinion. It does not seem like it is fair in any way game mechanics wise and is not fun for the playerbase

Heh. There is, I've heard, a way to the room where all of your crap is.

However. That way is unattainable for pretty much everyone.

Believe me.

It does suck. I don't care about realism -- fun is more important.

If you don't like the area, avoid it. There is a pretty easy to find way around it. I don't think I've spent more than 20 hours in Hamsah since it was put in, in what, 1998?

What a strange comment. It was Dafeb's hometown and you did some of the quests. Dunno about your other characters. =P

I was referring to the guards taking everything and dropping it in an inaccessible area sucking. Not more than 20 hours in there as a Trib fighter/WANTED person to be truthful.

If it sounds like a lame copout to a good call-out, it is. I really should invest more time into hitting that little "preview post" button, below.

Only thing i'd add to it is some motion to the mobs, for example, take a bit of what udgaard has.

Its a pain in the ass once you attack a patroller and you flee they show up in a completly diffrent part of town and attack you!
And it doesn't seem to make any sense in my head as I walk it..
Its like its a big square with a whole bunch of unconnected little squares..

Part of Hamsah's theme is a fairly draconian justice code. It doesn't seem unreasonable that if they take down a criminal, they wouldn't give anything back.

Through means of begging and bribery, convince Scarabaeus to finish the Sultan's palace so there is a way to get there.

Until then, do what Zulg said.

I wanted to wait until neothieves went in. Why oh why don't we have Climb Walls? Sigh.

I could have sworn not long after it went in, there was a way into the sultans treasure room. Not one many people knew about, but it was there.
