I have NEVER seen Minotaurs be available for rolling. I have played before they were even a race. Are people Bogarting them? Because in the last couple days I've seen THREE pop up and are now around level 20.

For some reason when I read of minotaurs in mythology class it never occurred to me that they'd have a lisp. Definite detracts from the coolness factor.

Which makes it not an option for the rest of us should we wish to.

People collect them like pokemans. Your only shot is trying to roll one right after a crash/reboot, which means you were probably playing another character already, which means you probably aren't interested in rolling a new one...

I'll beg to differ on the slot being hoarded...as I'm playing my first mino right now and I did not have any characters over level 10 in the past three months or any kind of idea the slot was available. First time I've had one and I've played off and on since before the race was added to CF.

Me too, and I've seen it available a total of two times at character creation. The only way I could ever feasibly play one is to write a role/desc/etc. and let it sit for an eon and may the gods bless me with the will and want to play one when I finally do get a chance.

You go to roll up an elf, you're probably not going to give him the same name you would give a mino, and if the slot opens up and you stop and relog, you may lose it. I think if the mino slot is open, and you take it, you should be able to rename yourself.

You can pray for a name change, I just prayed "hey I didn't expect to roll a minotaur but now I have one so can I change my name to ____?"

As for the role issue, get to level 2, then just log in for a half second every couple days while you write up your role.

The only real issue is that you have to have a class set before the role, which is kind of a hassle, but so it goes.

I've said it before--if you roll up a Minotaur, all you need to do is send up a pray and we'll rename you.

I actually don't remember the date they went in, I'm just WAG'n it.

I then hoarded that spot for months with a level 2 minotaur until I could figure out a role/desc/general idea of the character.

I won a role contest, got a legacy at level 18, and deleted in anger over Yhorian being douche-y with another character of mine.

Never seen a minotaur spot open since.

Meanwhile, Pro and Kov have played roughly 45975889423432 Minotaurs between the two of them.
