I just wanted to say that I've really been digging the twitter feed lately. It's really, really great that its activity has expanded beyond random PK announcements and FML mob deaths (I like those too, for the record). That said, it now seems a bit... Quiet in game in comparison. Might it be possible to bring these tweets into the game at the same time they're tweeted, minus hash tags?

PK and FML tweets can definitely stay twitter only... Unless we want to get creative and have area specific echos in Bars/The Inn that are like "Chatter amongst the commonfolk seems to converge around the topic of the defeat of Tygar the Legend of the Battlefield at the hands of the Emperor Kraldinor." However, I imagine that's sort of a champagne dream when I've got just enough for a box of wine.

Facebook sucks so hard (I can't think of a nicer way to put that, sorry). Please stop using it as the main PR stream. The questions asked could be asked easily here or on twitter, and I can reply without throwing my identity into the 4Chan-esque pot that is the greater CF community.

When I started seeing that people were winning contests on facebook, it depressed me that I would never have a shot at these things. I refuse to use facebook until for-ev-ver!

You can win a contest on facebook without even having a facebook account.

There was a "who's the best RPed character out there right now" and a "which character deserves a custom long."

I won one of those without ever posting on the CF facebook page, so it's not like you don't have a shot if you don't have a facebook.

They were always a little delayed, but now they're delayed days/hours.
Also, frequency seems reduced. Personally, i'd rather see more tweets
than less. Help bring some of the magic out of the game and into
RL.

I like the idea of in-game notifications, with constraints. If one is in
a big city for example, one could hear 'rumors' of recent events of note
that happened nearby. Probably not worth the trouble to implement it
though, given how fragmented playerbase seems lately.

I set it up to run every hour, but apparently that's not often enough to keep up with events, so I just changed it to run every 5 minutes.... you guys should see a tweet every five minutes until we get all caught up... probably take an hour or two.
