Do wood-elves really need higher parry rate while simultaneously doing more damage all while having 24 dextarity? You also gave a boon of regenerating better and evading in the 'wilds'?

I am still waiting the power-up to gnome warrior. One start would be more gear that partially helps with their vulnerability to blunt. We all know it pales in comparison.

Daevryn's an awesome pker, surely some other veterans have tested, are testing, W-E warriors. The fad will die down when people are done testing them. The change hasn't made them op, it's made them viable.

Hope your gnomes get some loving, but I also hope they're still one of the weakest warrior choices. Tough wood elf warrior makes sense, tough gnome warrior does not.

For many years, nobody would play them at all. Now they might be almost as good as, say arial or elf or d-elf.

400 xp pen was steep...Unlike elves/drow you don't get perm sneak. You do get to see everyone in the wilds invis/camo/etc while in the room (not on where) which is arguably an 'ok' benefit. Their stats are lackluster (Arial at 250xp penalty with 25 dex and perm fly is far superior). And their vuln was much more heavy..vuln iron...ouch. Before the changes I likely would not have considered a wood-elf warrior myself.

just my .02

Well,

they moved arial up to 300 from 250 - which is warranted given stats and perm fly

Now elves/dark elves are 400 xp...same as wood elves (wood elves got no xp adjustment)

Personally, I'd argue that perma-sneak is far more advantageous than anything (barring edges) that wood-elves get as inherents. You stack on swiftstrike for elf and I'd argue that for power-gamers elf is stronger. Obviously faerie fire is pretty insignificant.

All in all, You'd still have a hard time convincing me to choose wood-elf over dark-elf/elf. I'd wager all three are 'kinda' on par due to wood-elf edges..but inherent sneak is _pimp_ for getting the drop/escaping.

Arial - same int/str and 1 move dex plus perma flight (the flight really comes into play when considering villagers).

Elf - 1 less dex/str/con for 2 extra int, swiftstrike, elf only gear, perma sneak. Plus elves can be mages/paladins

Drow - mostly the same as elf but swap around inherents and mage based classes.

The very limited detect ability and quiet movement in woods of wood elves is not that valueble compared to racial inherents/perma flight/perma sneak
