#49264, "The Third Tournament of Thirteen!"
|
Therans!
I long to be thrilled, I long to be inspired, I long to be entertained!
That said, it is time for yet another Tournament of Thirteen. To celebrate the thrill of combat and camaraderie, these third games are sure to test both your wits and your brawn. Unlike past tournaments, which pitted one against a single another, this one will be a free for all where contestants are free to form groups and strike deals with one another.
I challenge you to speak to the other contestants ahead of time to plan, prepare, and ready yourself for the melee! Also, go to the Game Garden that Enpolad keeps and familiarize yourself with it, for the chessboard he has created, and the chessboard alone (on and above), will be the venue for this brawl.
The rules are simple and as follows:
1) Fighting is to the death. 2) This tournament will be held within the gates of the chessboard of Enpolad's Game Garden. Do not leave the chessboard, not even to the grassy perimeter! 3) You may use anything you can carry and bring with you, but you may receive no help from anyone not also entered in the tournament. Also, you may not leave the garden until *after* you are eliminated. 4) Out of respect for the tournament, the corpses of the fallen shall not be touched. None shall take a single thing from any them. 5) Any are welcome to watch, but beware, that any that breaks the above rules or causes trouble will have to deal with the consequences. Respect the tournament and its combatants.
This third tournament shall be only open to those considered a hero or very nearly a hero in their guild. Dirty, rotten spectres are also welcome, even though they smell funny.
If you wish to submit your name to be in the tournament, you must send a note directly to me, Whiysdan, declaring your interest by the end of Sunday, March 31, by the clock us gods and goddesses use.
Also, you must be able to attend the tournament itself, which will be held on Thursday, April 4 at exactly 17:00 (system time). Only thirteen will be accepted into the tournament and the names of each of the participants accepted will be announced in the days before the fighting starts.
Participants will fight for the thrill and enjoyment of honoring Thera's bloody culture and should expect nothing more than respect, should they emerge victorious.

Do you remove the mobs for these things? Curious if I were to come watch as a lowbie if I would be dealing with the aggro mobs. Also curious if competitors will have to deal with them.

I"m guessing dealing with tough aggro mobs is part of the point of the venue selection.
