Some people may know what I am talking about.
Think this is okay or not?
I don't think so, personally.

But I don't see how it could be a problem for a villager to set someone on fire. The litmus test is always whether an item has the magical flag. It doesn't matter how similar the echoes or effect is to looking magical if there is no magical flag it isn't magic. I seem to remember many years ago Kasty (and probably others an imm would have to confirm) going through and adding the magical flag to all appropriate items so there would be no confusion as to what was magic and what wasn't. Prior to that there were debates on what was magical or not because you had to deduct it from the items description or any special effects. I even remember after the flags were added praying about a certain bracer that was invisible but had no magical flag and told by an imm if it didn't have a magical flag it wasn't magic even if it was invis. End of discussion. Not sure if that bracer is still this way.

What would be the point if you didn't evaluate all of the items? Also I have to think that there is a master item list available to imps or something along that line. If not for the entire game at least something per area.

and that is probably why it is not flagged as magical, just like thief traps that immolate are not considered magical.

If it's what I think it is, it's not magic.

Strange.
I wonder if the other one is not "magical" too.

There's a real world version of that item. That's why it isn't magic.

And yes it is, there is nothing magical. It's naturally flammable stuff they throw on you.
Thief traps can accomplish the same affect too dude.
