#47730, "Tis the season for Silent Tower?"
|
I remember about the same time last year, the Silent Tower was opened and closed around new years.
Might we have the same privilege this year?

I've been wondering what all those random echos were.
Thank you Daev! I've not had a chance to really explore that place but briefly. Time to say goodbye to my con points!

Somewhere far to the north of any known civilization, a gray-robed monk with a shaved head stumbles through a snowstorm.
His well-worn sandles and walking staff ill-suited to the frozen tundra and his skin becoming frostbitten, he makes but slow progress.
And then the thing he has fled so far and so long from is, at last, upon him.
Surging out of the storm with inhuman speed is second hairless man, this one tall with extraordinarily smooth features and dark gray eyes that burn like a thousand cinders.
Before the first man can even react, the second man's right hand is around his throat, and then lifting him clear off the ground by it.
"Did you truly think you could escape me? Did you think that *any* of you could escape me, after what you stole from me?!"
With a roar he hurls the monk with one hand. Before the monk can even hit the snow his left hand is tracing a single glowing rune in the air.
The monk instinctively tries to scramble and scurry away through the deep snow, but his time has run out in more ways than one.
In the blink of an eye the monk's skin begins to wrinkle and age. In a heartbeat his body is ancient, then dead, then dust. The monk's staff and robes rot as quickly. Only a single blue crystal that hung at his neck remains.
Elsewhere, the smooth-featured man's distraction creates an opportunity for a white-haired woman in ancient armor. She begins to smuggle blindfolded volunteers into a massive ivory tower. . .

Oh come now, be reasonable.
As someone who has never been to Silent Tower (and there are many), those echoes would not make me think "Maybe Silent Tower is open again."
That's probably why it was "ignored". Most people probably didn't know what to do with the information you were giving them, because your references are buried deep. Of those who maybe did know, chances are they weren't in a position to do anything about it (since, at any given moment, most of the online players aren't really in a position to go exploring Silent Tower). I totally thought this was silent tower related, then I remembered the way I knew into silent tower doesnt work, and that you needed a certain level of imm exp to explore it so meh.

Sure; but usually this kind of thing ends up on the forums one way or another and somebody knows.

Admittedly, I only saw a few of them, but all together from the beginning it makes perfect sense that it's Silent Tower.
I'm just glad I asked on gameplay to clear up any misunderstanding.
Now then, who does a guy have to pray to for 50-51 imm exp around here? (If my calculations are correct...) ;P
