Perhaps I missed this upon character creation because I was tired or something... Does the felar ranger not have the option of having a recall point somewhere in the wilderness? I thought when I looked, all I saw was cities and Blackclaw. I picked Galadon as default because, to a ranger, one city is as bad as another, so you might as well have convenience.

Hometowns are made available by race, and not by class. Only wood-elves
have the option of selecting a hometown that can be considered wilderness
(Jade Mountains, Emerald Forest, etc.). Felar, rangers or not, are limited
at character creation to the cities listed.

As for your claim that one city is as bad as another, that only considers
a single aspect of ranger RP. There have been both Imperial applicant
and Tribunal rangers, neither of which have any objection to cities, not any
love of the wilderness.

If you feel so strongly about having your hometown in the wilderness,
it is possible that you may find a sympathetic imm that may offer you a quest
to change your hometown. This offer was made by Uller to the Sylvan cabal, as
the non-wood-elf Sylvans remained with the city chosen at character creation.

Your other option, of course, is to be an Outlander.
