#4670, "Paladin heal tweaks"
|
Recently there's alot of active paladin characters, sometimes outnumbering the number of warriors online in the higher ranks. The gameplay problem arises when these paladins (a good number of them elves with high mana) are able to heal others while they fight. With decent preps, heals from a paladin are just as good as those from a healer. What I suggest is other than lay hands, paladin healing supplications should be something like 50% effective when used on other people. This would encourage people to play goodie healers more, the catch being the healer doesn't have the offensive capabilities of a paladin.

Be happy most of them can no longer sanc or word people other than themselves. I can't tell you how many times I watched someone die while I was spamming heal on them.
If you can't kill the guy while his paladin buddy is there, wait until the paladin buddy isn't there. Or wait until he's too exhausted to heal. Or recruit someone in the paladin's PK to keep him busy while you kill the guy in your PK. Etc.

Sorry, going to have to disagree on that one - rejuvenate is a lot better than heal, healing sleep is ten times better than anything paladins are capable of, and even elven paladins can get stretched thin on mana pretty easily.
