#4522, "Please be open minded, this could make CF profitable:"
|
A)Ok, this is _____ things that my logic is based on:
1. At www.qhcf.net, people post logs. 2. Lots of people like the formatting in those logs. 3. People would probably use a client that did that formatting real time.
This is my idea, derived from that logic;
The cf staff could sell a client for their mud.
B)As a representative of the playerbase, I would do this:
1. Pay a price (x) for a client developed by the CF staff.
Where X is directly proportional to the slope of a function which plots loyalty to CF vs. superiority of Client.

While we've kicked around the idea of coding a client, I don't forsee this ever actually taking place.
This is a volunteer organization, and the folks here tend to work on things inside the mud, and not ways to connect to the mud. There are dozens of clients out there that do what people want them to do. I don't see us re-inventing the wheel to put a CF brand logo on it and trying to sell it.
So long, and thanks for all the fish!

The formatting from Dio's is made to mimic the color functionality of the game itself. Unless you mean something else, all you gotta do to get that "formatting" real time is play with something that can handle color.
