So, this might be a little more detail than most would care, but I happen to have spent enough time on a cattle farm.

I feel like the random minotaur hoof gear I've seen often tends to be horseshoes. Given that horse and cattle hooves are distinctly different in design they would have to be unique to each race. Though, if we're getting really precise, any sort of horseshoe worn by either race should be time-consuming to remove.

Not that it shouldn't have come up earlier, but now that we actually HAVE both types of hooves in Thera, the idea of centaurs and minotaurs wearing the same gear begins to nag at me.

I confess I thought about this both when Minotaurs went in and when Centaurs opened up, but decided that was not important enough to implement. The problem is, we want gear to be usable by characters of different races and right now a Dwarf can wear the same breastplate that a Fire Giant can wear; if we wanted to up the realism bar, we would not allow that to happen. Rings would be certain sizes and a ring on a Giant wouldn't fit the finger of a Human or the fluffy digits of the Felar. And on and on...

There is an echo indicating it is difficult to put on when you try to wear minotaur hoof gear on a centaur's rear hooves. You can still do it but it looks like there might have been a thought that the structures are not 100% the same.

I was going to implement Centaurs such that another player (or guild NPC) was required for them to put on hind leg or back gear. I opted for slightly smaller horse body and a little more flexibility.

There will be less tears this way.
