#43778, "On Quests"

Hey there.

With my last character I think I experienced more of what CF has to offer in the way of quests than I ever have. I'd really like to see a lot more of the ones which reward you (with XP, skill learns, and gear) for going into an area and killing mobs which already yield good XP for your alignment and level. I'd really, really like to see this concept expanded.

It's really nice to have a quest or two that you are steadily chipping away on as you rank. Though it is right out of the WoW play-book, it is just a good idea all around.

I'd also like to see more quests which, upon completion, direct you to the next area and accompanying quest-line, so you get a kind of continuous stream of quests you can complete. I feel like that was sort of the intent with the ones that already exist, but they aren't continuous.

Is there any plan to build on these, and/or more guild-based quests? I think it would be badass if each character, regardless of class/race/etc., readily had an option to pursue multiple quests at any given time, whether they be XP-grind types, fetch types, rescue types, etc. There are other types to consider as well...I'll just list them below.

-Continuous class-based quests from 5 to 51.

-Continuous XP-grind (killing mobs of a specific type, in an area) quests from 5 to 51. Obviously these can vary by alignment.

-(Possibly) Continuous race-based quests from 5 to 51. (If not all races, maybe start with the high xp-penalty races.)

-Hometown-based quests. Ex) The Mayor of Galadon needs his spoiled brat son escorted to Seantryn Modan - along the way he gets kidnapped by goblins and held for ransom in Silverwood by Rygamar. You have to pay the absurd ransom or kill all the goblins. Upon reaching Seantryn Modan, thieves kidnap him and take him to their hideout in the sewers...same kinda thing.)

I realize these are lofty goals. I'm just trying to get some creative juices flowing.

In a similar vein I am periodically building the quest base for HM1; some of them are guild based, some are hometown based, some are linked to previous quests, etc.

1 Why HM? Simply because it's a sandbox I like to play in.

Though I have been adding code to PoS, but not the PoS you might first think of...
