#43349, "Cursed Items and Good NPCs"
|
As an example if a good align player wished to get a cursed(no-remove and or no-drop) weapon from a good align NPC without killing them, how does this work?
Can said person get a good aligned or otherwise, player to com remove curse on said NPC?
If getting a person to perform curse removal does not work, then does that mean there is no way for the item to get into their hands other than taking it from an evil/neutral who killed this NPC?
If the last comment was true and the player knows of the item, wouldn't that make him/her curious how the item was attained and not want it?

Just to be sure, I checked IC if a weapon like this could be requested and the NPC said I'm sorry but I can't let go of it, it's cursed. Or something along those lines.
P.S. I know this is very low on the fixing scale, if on it at all, because things have always been this way. I was simply curious more for RP purposes.

Take Arctic moon for example, a noremove sword. You can still request it from him without any issue. The Imms took this into account I think, though there are certain things you can not get via request.
The paladin in Absalom's gear, and Lord Siig's shield are examples of things you just can't get as a goodie, but usually there is a reason for it.

I may be incorrect, but "Lion's Roar" seems to be similarly overlooked/intentionally coded, such that you are unable to request it. It might have been changed, but last I checked it is cursed + she cannot remove it to have it requested.
