#41687, "Regarding the Silent Tower"

First off, thanks a ton for re-opening it. Second, I've noticed some things behaving differently, which is totally fine. I'm sure a lot has changed. But, can I post bugs to the BB here, or send you a note in-game? I already posted one about a certain trap catching me in an endless loop.

It's just that, ST is such a unique area that I have no idea if I'm encountering a design feature or a bug. I can't really progress any further until that one I posted gets resolved, so I'm anxious!

Bug board's fine. I had a RL emergency come up immediately after opening the tower and I haven't had a chance to catch up since.

The baby's ok - she spiked a crazy fever on Wednesday and was just listless and wouldn't eat or drink...fever went even higher on Friday so they sent us to the hospital for a blood test. That came back with a super low white blood cell count so they immediately called us and had us check her into Children's Hospital - on the cancer floor!! The next 24 hours were awful - upset baby, poorly placed IV in her tiny dehydrated veins, and a seriously neurotic mother. Her fever finally broke late Friday night and she started sweating serious buckets. Saturday the hemotologist came to our room and said he was "Pretty sure" it wasn't cancer. I wanted 100 % sure it wasn't and he said he couldn't give that to me. So we're doing more blood work on Friday to monitor her white blood cell count. We haven't gotten any results yet saying for sure, but we're pretty sure she ended up with mono. I'm staying home with her all this week, so my availability will be a little spotty as I bust a stay-at-home-mom out.

And I'll be keeping my fingers crossed, I'm sure she'll be alright, and after the tests on friday, everything will be back to normal. I know just thinking it might be cancer must've been terrible, and I'm thinking of you guys.

So many shrine mobs are about to die.

Seriously - good luck! Be a good mom! And take care of YOURSELF, too. Caretakers are as much at risk as their charges.

My youngest 1 year old was getting sick all the time - we decided to talk with the Doctor and she mentions "well, it could be cystic fibrosis". Just a lesson for you, it's basically a terminal condition - that even though it was tested for false during pregnancy, the doctor blurts this out.

So first son is autistic and now we might have a terminal second son? Talk about shaking your fist at God...

But low and behold after tons of testing, he just has a weakened immune system that he'll grow out of by the time he turns 3. Sometimes you just want to slap doctors who blurt out things without figuring it out first - I'm for honesty but I'd rather "we just don't know yet" and not "well, there's a super tiny chance they might have a debilitating terminal disease".

Best of luck!

We had an awful scare last year for our daughter, because of an overdose of meds by her pediatricians office. I absolutely detested the "Helpless waiting to see" feeling, and I'm sorry you're having to go through it now. Best of luck to everyone at the house.

Now just stay home and take care of the family. RL always comes first.

Always shoot first and then call whatever you hit the target.

They thought it could be leukemia, but it was just some really bad bacterial infection.

I hope all is well.

She's doing better now, went back to day care today and seemed pretty happy to see her germ-ridden friends.

Thanks for all the well wishes all!
