#4095, "Nightwalkers and loss of experience"
|
I recently discovered that dying to a nightwalker (scion callable mobile) results in a loss of experience. My experience is rather limited, but as far as I know dying to another player does not in general result in a loss of experience, e.g. dying to a necromancer's pets. I fail to see the difference between a cabal called creature and a class called creature.
Is this by design or due to some technical stuff, say nightwalkers being a special form of mob or something.
At any rate, I think it would be more fair if the killing blow of a nightwalker of some scion didn't result in their foe suffering loss of experience on top of everything else.

that it might be that dying whilst wanted results in a loss of experience?
Not sure, but last I saw Drokk he was wanted. I believe an experience loss thing was put in to stop people having their friends kill them, which sounds like it may have been the case here.

I did not know this. As an aside, it wasn't me who died, but it still offers a valid explanation. Thank you for the information. I am sorry to have raised the question without giving all the relevant facts, but fortunately you could still figure it out.
For the time being I will just assume that nightwalkers do not in fact incur experience loss.
