I grepped the source, found it in one file that deals with AC and associated skills and didn't look any further. So I suspect something dealing with the armor related skills. So long, and thanks for all the fish!

I want to say it's that light damage can't be armor-deflected with transparent armor.
Valg is detail oriented.
