I'm more and more convinced that empowerment is not helpful to the game. I would be on a lot more (at least twice as much) if I wasn't forced to level sit because of a lack of empowerment.

My last character deleted because of sustained lack of empowerment, after my imm turned out to be dormant without me realising. I deleted (rather unhappy) and now my new character, who has an active imm, isn't having any more success.

Are we certain empowerment is still appropriate with declining numbers? Can we default to empowerment to 51 and then reduce empowerment for bad rp?

And other players seem to like my character. I get a lot of interaction from them.

Aren't you decreasing the likelyhood that you will be empowered by only being on half as much?

by crying about lack of empowerment, you make yourself way less likely to be empowered?

Not empowered? rack up some pks at your max empowered rank. sorry, you dont "need" wrath to get kills, but you dont even need to get kills, long as you're fighting and being interesting to watch/invested in the char.

3 enemies of the cabal, every single one of whom is much stronger than I am. One basically let himself die when I got unexpected healing and he didn't flee. One required getting the jump on someone which wasn't easy because of where they were, and one required drawing the fight out until the guy tired himself out, then turning on him.

However, my skillset is tiny and those fights are boring.

I would add that I have played a considerable amount of time, and I've played a lot of empowered characters before. However, I have had at least 3 that were "bleh" because of lack of empowerment. I had a healer get well into the 30s without hearing from Lyristeon (and I've been empowered by him before). I've had a druid with a bespoke god get nothing at all (and yet in the past I've done bespoke gods before without a problem), and now right off the back of that druid (which I deleted in order to roll with an active imm) I'm getting a lack of response from a supposedly active imm.

(Yes, this is me.)

However, my imm says to write a note for an appointment, and yet there's been no response. Not to mention the prays.

Oh, and before I "cried about it", I did play a character for a sustained period and then give up and delete. This character was specifically created so that I had an active imm. Then the imm seems not to be active.

In total, it's been about 4 months now of playing unempowered (including the previous character). I think that at this stage it's reasonable to mention it.

Also, you seem to be ignoring the actual point of my email, which is that I'm sure I'm not the only one who has been in this situation, and has reduced their playtimes as a result.

Reduced playtimes = reduced number of players online.

Something we might want to avoid if there's an easy way?
