Can you guys publish your list of undesirable IP addresses? So those players don't need to bother wasting hundreds of hours of their actual lives? Its becoming obvious that the favoritism and singling out of "bad" players is becoming the status quo on CF now.

I'd go with
a) You haven't been noticed by your patron/cabal/random Immortal
b) You're not as good as you think you are

The list of Immortals who have access to IP addresses is small. I'm sure some of them do track folks by IP, and there are others that don't have access to IPs who can still track characters...because the people who play them are that obvious.

Good point. The staff really should get happier with bans in that case. If a player is disliked enough, (I'm not saying me.. everyone loves me ) just go ahead and let them know and ban em. In a game where a player's experience is heavily dependent on what an admin thinks of the character. If the admin has already decided, hey this player is a POS and I'm going to bring the hammer down on him everytime I figure out its him... Just save them the trouble and tell them they are no longer wanted here. If a ban is what will get the message across, run with it.

I know for a fact I'm not as good as I think I am. My most recent character was rolled over a month ago and I havent gotten past level 10 yet. But yeah you are right, I suck more at CF now than I ever have.

I guess its just a few bad apples making you guys look bad/giving us "consipracy theorists" ammo to complain. I challenge you to do some pruning.

I don't think there's anyone in such a category at this point who hasn't had a few hundred bans thrown at them.

I tend to avoid anything that requires imm intervention (as a player I just don't like being on other peoples schedules who are both busy and I can't see them to hold them accountable).

If you don't care about quest forms, empowerment, tattoo, joining a leaderless cabal it is really easy to not worry about the imms at all.

They might throw you a bone in the form of an edge or random xp but for the most part unless you seek them out or do something flagrantly stupid (chating/greifing type stuff) they won't mess with you.

...maybe it's in your playing style. There are a handful of characters who either talk the same, act the same, RP the same, write the same, or have some other identifying quirk that gives them away. Nep's wife just called someone out on it on the forums.

Keep in mind that in an online world where there are 40 players on average at peak, you're not exactly anonymous. You probably have a pattern of playing times too, which narrows down your set of characters even further if you're not changing things up. There are lots of ways to figure someone out given "hundreds of hours" of playing time for a single player. Try switching things up and see if you have the same result.

Now granted, I haven't had multiple consecutive chars get hated on, so I can't speak for that...

But since I had my little snit with the IMMs over Cyradia dumping on Jindicho, I've had a lowbie that got all sorts of IMM love (Ghrimriddor) and a tattoed follower in a cabal (Eljassir).

I'd say unless you're really a fuggin prick, they don't track IPs like THAT. I mean, Aether plays dude. And never gets really ####ed with by the IMMs. Aether (PS Torak not saying anything, just using you as an example as a person who was once persona non grata).

...I'm not entirely sure if I get ####ed with (no matter what I do, some Imms just really hate me) but I know for a complete fact that certain Immortals do know who plays who by IP checking.

But I don't think anyone gets treated any differently because of it.

When I play, I generally get if not a leadership slot, a fair amount of imm-love for my characters. I get this from people on the staff who I am quite certain, rightly or wrongly, dislike me. I mean, hell, the string V-L-A-D in any name is still illegal as part of the frigging code. Yet I continue to play, I continue to get made leader/get promoted/imm given rewards/empowerment etc etc.

Would be faster to just give a list of players by forum nick.
